Come enjoy the incredible, transformational magic of Yin Yoga with Keli Lalita. This work shop is open to seasoned practitioners of Yin Yoga and for teachers who have completed Yin Yoga Level 1.
Yin Yoga is a mind/body practice like no other. For the body, it offers one a chance to understand the difference between stretching muscles and fully releasing the connective tissue body, and the joints themselves. It nourishes the meridians and awakens balanced energy flow in every cell. This practice offers an unparalleled opportunity for the practitioner to first observe the mind, and then to find stillness of mind -NIRODHA- described by Patanjali in The Yoga Sutras.
Every element of the class will support the safe, intelligent release of the connective tissue in the body, known as fascia. Keli creates a deeply relaxing space for healing. She will teach you the proper use of yoga bolsters, block and belts to support the body in each asana. In addition to which, breath awareness, and Time are the final elements of this perfect recipe for healing and awakening.
In level two, we delve deeper into the understanding of how to work with a broader spectrum of practitioners: pregnant women and their partners, yogis over 70, and people with injuries. We will also go deeper into meridian theory, some of the traditional guided mediations for the breath. Learn to create a space for safe, acred awakening, called Bhav, and leave feeling refreshed.
Three 90 min practices will be offered to you, for you because I truly believe that we enter the teaching of yin through the gateway of the body.
